Building understanding, trust, and alignment among stakeholders and teams for not-for-profit and government agencies

Case Study: CVNQuinte

Community Visions & Networking (Quinte) promotes an individualized approach in supporting adults living with developmental disabilities. Recognizing an important need to build a larger public profile, Executive Director Terri Korkush began employing a storytelling approach that includes:

➡ monthly interviews with people being supported by CVNQuinte, their families, the employees of the agency and partner organization representatives.

➡ a monthly 2-minute micro-documentary

➡ a monthly written feature with photographic images

The written features and images are placed on the agency website to support and exemplify the lived mission and vision of CVNQuinte. Each micro-documentary is paired with the appropriate written feature and also appears in a video collection on the client’s site.

Case Study: HPE Learning Foundation

When the Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation decided to launch an ambitious fundraising campaign to boost learning outcomes in the classroom, they invited students, staff, leadership and parents to offer their opinions. The result gave them

➡ a full-length video to align stakeholders and pitch to community groups

➡ a short edited video for time-restricted purposes

➡ a cohesive storytelling experience for 19 people that will be remembered as a fantastic success

“We’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Lavender Story Studio on two projects now… Brian is compassionate, professional, and so easy to work with. He has an incredible ability to truly capture the heart of our work at the HPE Learning Foundation — telling meaningful stories in a way that feels authentic and impactful.”
